I thoroughly enjoyed your story and your passing on of ancestral tales. Last year my daughter and I learned about a few of these. It was very interesting and impressive. You did a phenomenal job conveying them in your work. Many blessings to you.

Hello new friend Heather, Thanks for reading and glad you enjoyed. I have written fifteen chapters called The Dreamtime (for young adults) in my portfolio if you are interested. Blessings, Kay xx

A nice story. The flow is good. The voice is befitting of a first person's tale. Images are clear. There is a feeling of elder's telling lore to the young.
Suggestion:
My only suggestion is that perhaps all the characters need to come in more slowly. I found myself mildly confused on who was who. You made me really want to know these folks.
Thanks for a good read.

The Dreamtime was the time that Great Spirit was creating our world with creatures and the Rainbow Spirit made the mountains and rivers. You can imagine a snake swishing it's tail in the form of a river. All legend of course. K xx
Thanks for reading my friend.

This was truly fantastic, Kay. Anytime it is considered to be a taste of aboriginal folklore it is truly enjoyable. There are snipets that I can provide an alternative to meet the same perfect tale. Very well done and greatly enjoyed.

Ayr, Why don't you use your snippets and make a story, maybe famous indigenous folks? Thanks for reading my friend. Love, K xx
-
Will definitely think on that, you are so very welcome, Kay.

You did a great job, Aussie, with this 'taste' of folklore from the aborigines of Australia. I enjoyed reading it. Your words and lines flowed smoothly with great descriptions. Although I know zero about the subject, I feel as if I learned a bit and look forward to your later posts on this subject.
Respectfully, Jan

I enjoy reading these origin tales full of nature and animals who do extraordinary things. The image of the crocodile opening his mouth is a vivid one and adds to the impact of this story. I look forward to reading more.

Aussie,
I enjoyed reading this bit of folklore. It is amazing how many origin stories around the world have a Creator Father. Metaphors may vary, but there are very many similarities. I look forward to reading more.

Yes, when you think about creation from the Bible there are a lot of similarities. Glad you enjoyed. Blessings, Kay xx

What a great idea, to write some First nations Stories and compose them into a book. Why don't you target high school readers, maybe with some Questions for Further Thinking at the end of each story, and ideas for projects or art work, and see if you can get it included in the history curriculum. Well done Kay.

Wendy, You were a teacher and what you suggested is a big ask! Australia Day today - of course we don't celebrate the rape of our nation. The Brits stole our land, chained our men and raped our women. They also introduced us to foreign foods and worst of all rum! Because we have no written language, the story has been handed down and Sorry Day is a joke. Today we mourned our ancestors. Thanks for reading and next one I will have fun with and keep it light. Still raining here! Love, Kay xx

What a fine project, Kay, and a splendid opening. There is such wisdom in these First Nation tales. They deserve a much wider currency. I hope, when the collection is complete, that you are able to publish it.

Hello my friend and thank you for reading. So many dialects across Oz - 10,000 in fact. I will have some fun writing. We don't celebrate Oz Day for obvious reasons. Best wishes, Kay xx
