Nice post Jer. Very good writing and mix of dialogue and description. The plot weaves from overpopulation to a more sinister threat-the change of the moon. Intriguing story. i would make it a series of stories.

This is an interesting story that held my attention, but it seemed to me that by 2489 there wouldn't be any briefcases, file folders or limos as we know them. Probably not phones either. Nevertheless, your doomsday premise is an interesting one. It is always difficult to predict the future.

Maybe they could make a "cream" sauce from wood flour. Hitler fed it to his troops near the end of the war. Or are all the trees gone?
