We have had 7 cats ourselves. No kids.
I have so say I have to agree being able to hold young tigers is a real thrill.

When people ask "How did you meet?", you have a great story to tell. I suspect the cat got on the balcony by herself. Siamese are not to be messed with. What a thrill to hold two tiger cubs.
