I think if that happened to me it'd be my best day ever, too. The thought of being able to hold not one but two real live Bengal tiger cubs is giving me smiles and shivers right now.
I enjoyed the humour in your engagingly well written story: "A couple of Zoe's friends accused her of tossing her cat on my balcony. She denied it. Holly Golightly refused to testify."
You must miss Zoe a lot. Cat lovers are great people.

I think life is filled with many "best days," and yours just happened to relate to cats multiple times! You met her because of a cat, and had the best day because of a (big) cat. An interesting story and a great entry for the contest. Great way to meet the love of your life - through a cat running away from home. Sounds like it worked out okay for you. The tiger cub is cute, but I don't think I would want to hold one if the mother was not far away.

I really like the love and devotion of this story. I'm more of a dog person but had one very special cat friend. I've been attacked by several Siamese cats. For some reason Rottweilers don't like me either. However, I do very well with all the other breeds. Zoe was indeed lucky to be able to interact with the cubs. You did a nice job telling the story. I'm so glad you were able to include the picture.
