15 word challenge.
"Broken Record"
Is it the same thing as a broken heart except the music's a little bit more sour?
I remember when I was a child in the 60s walking the railroad tracks watching a place being created which turned out to be Columbia records.
My mother got a job working there but I never knew exactly what she did except that I knew her and my father like to drink.
I own 5,000 mint vinyl records.
I sold a small portion of the collection which has been told to me is the second largest in New Jersey.
There are people that buy and sell records all over the world. Thanks for sharing.

Fun type poem...fifteen words... picture reminds of the old days in the fifties playing our favorite tunes...on 78's. The doctors record? Quite another type of record no one wants to play in their mind; not only a sad song on a scratched LP, but carries a sour note when sung. Like your Picture.

I love the image but was disappointed when it spelled it out in "like a broken health record". That was a given and I think you could have said volumes and made the words so much more powerful. You've covered all the bases though. . .just my thoughts. It's the sometimes is more adage. Good luck. :)

Ah those items of bad news that cause worry do tend to repeat in the brain. Great way to say it in your fifteen word poem! When I talk with my dad, it's like that because he can't remember he said the same things before even in the same conversation. Sigh.

Yes, he's got some senior dementia. He's 92 and losing it ...

A great poem for the challenge. It is a good play on words with health records, but it doesn't flow as effortlessly as some of your other poems which don't rely as much on a play of words and bend a little more toward imagery and the final punch of the poem. Nevertheless, still a great poem.

I know what you mean but this is a 15 word poem, not a haiku.

Another fine poem, Gypsy----and sometimes it can sure feel like that----sometimes you just want to put your hands over your ears and say, "la, la, la, la!" over and over again, which I'm the champion of the world at doing, about a lot of things; I know, so damb mature!
