What a hoot. I got caught up in the story line and wondered where this was going. Good use of dialogue. Reading this over again, it seems like the fly is a symbol of the old regime.

I like how quickly the stage is set, and the imagery of each samurai slicing the fly. Perhaps more humour earlier might lead the reader toward the punchline more smoothly.
