This was a good read. The guy had her number on how to play to her strong suit. I thought she was going to be overbearing but he started his smoozing and gave her many compliments. He sounded like he was proud of her accomplishments and he was, but he had to really lay it on. Throwing in "I'll make dinner" works every time! Good luck in the contest.

A fine example of how pride can be used for the advantage of those who know its weakness, flattery! However, I have found that pride is never satisfied; it hungers and thirsts for constant accolades, and the day eventually comes when pride consumes itself in the fires of its own delusion.
