The Curse/A Novel of the Breedline series
A chapter in the book THE CURSE
Fearless/Part One

scongrove I hope you continue your exciting chapter you left me hanging when you ended this chapter with--

even though she knew it wasn't just Joseph that was present. It was the Shadow too. And for some strange reason, she didn't care. She wouldn't allow herself to be afraid. Not this time.

    Thanks so much, Gert :)
So glad you liked the chapter and the ending. Things are going to get tense soon. Will the Shadow attack Carrie or will something else happen unexpectedly? Stay tuned... more Breedline adventures to come.

    Sincerely,
    Shana :)

AJ's The Shadow:

SHANAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!! How could you make this soooo SHORT!!!??? I'm utterly annoyed right now. I HAVE TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!!! I will be stalking my messages until you post again.

(Regular A.J.) : I'm annoyed too, Shana with the LENGTH! God, you got me. But this chapter really surprised me, to be honest, especially since Carrie wants to do this right now, lol.
I'm worried someone's gonna walk in on them (her uncle and Manuel) or worst The Shadow emerges and tried to eat Carrie. But I'm remembering what you said, a fairy tale ending, a fairy tale. Just gotta keep reminding myself of that before I lose sleep over not knowing what happens.

LOL. You know I love your posts, Shana. See ya next Monday!!!

Hope you had a lovely New Year!!

SIX STARSS!

Thanks so much, my dear friend :)
I know this was short... sorry :(
Believe it or not, it took me forever to write this. But... the other morning, an idea came to mind. It's the reason why this chapter had to leave you hanging, wondering what will happen between Carrie and Joseph. Yes, they are about to share an intimate moment. The question is, will the Shadow try to kill Carrie? Hmmm... Or will the evil entity have other alternatives? You will be shocked when you find out. And I promise... this book will end very happy. I never end my books with a bad ending. And my beloved characters never die in the end. If they do, something brings them back. I also promise... battle angels :) I feel something is guiding me to write this.
When I get this book in print, I'd like to send you a signed copy. Here's my email address, shanacongrove@yahoo.com so you can send your shipping address so I will have it when the time comes. You've been such a great support for me. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.
Stay tuned, more Breedline adventures to come!
    Hugs,
    Shana :)

Aww, you're welcome, Shana! And other alternatives? Ooo... sounds eerie and exciting, lol. Thanks for your email; this book will probably be a good bday present for my 19th birthday this year. And it'll be SIGNED???!?!??!?!? I cannot wait until it's published! And I can't wait to see what's in store for the next chapter! God is guiding your writing, Shana! And thank you for the kind words; I do what I can and love. ;)

This is a well-written chapter. It has lots of tension and it kept me moving forward wanting to find out what would happen next. I did not see any errors. Great job. Shirley

I'm happy you enjoyed this chapter. I was worried it would offend readers due to the intimate scene between Carrie and Joseph. But I'm a sucker for romance, and all my books must have a love story. I try my best to keep the scenes tasteful.
I appreciate your support and positive review.

    Sincerely,
    Shana :)

Amazing episode, you've grasped what love truly is Shana. To think of it as being something that totally possesses us, of course God is the only one that cam live within, but love should be like that. Of course the sexual side of love is sensual, and should be spiritual, but with humans that's probably rare. But that's the bond of oneness the Bible speaks of, the true marriage of body, soul and spirit, which is the image of God in man. Beautifully written my friend, excellent post, blessings Roy

A compelling post.
Potential SPAGs for your consideration:
to protect the innocence > to protect the innocent
soaked to the bone > interesting concept. So water can pass through the skin, muscles, nerves, blood vessels and organs? It might be more correct to stick with the degree of soaked totally soaked / impossibly soaked / unbelievably soaked although these suggestions give you a horrible clunking adverb. Perhaps use drenched (verb to stand alone)
