Donating one's hair is a big deal! I have two women in my office who regularly grow their hair to whatever the required length is for donation -- I think, 1 inches- donate and start over. Congrats to your daughter and granddaughter and to whomever may end up sporting their beautiful hair! ann

What a wonderful thing they did. Your hair is one of your most important assets. It's the first thing people notice when they first meet you so for especially your granddaughter to see the importance of this and I commend her. Good luck with the contest.

What a beautiful and heartwarming story. Bravo to both of them. I remember when Kaitly was eight and she donated her hair, we were so proud. I can't believe the same child is now filled with venom instead.
