-Nice artwork and presentation, Janet.
-Your notes are appreciated, and I
am sorry the grief showed itself, but
it sounds like you have a good attitude about it.
-I think weather plays a big part in our moods.
-I like how you begin each verse with an emotion,
and then the imagery and rhyme shows the feelings
associated with it.
-The last two verses bring on "the gratitude and grace."
-Thanks for sharing this; you never know
who else might benefit from it.
-Hope you have a very good 2022.

Sorry that you're dealing with some issues that seem to keep getting dragged up but pleased to have had a chance to read and enjoy your poem. Writing can be such therapy and I'm glad writing this has helped you cope again. The poem even gave me a sense of healing and coping. That's how good of a job you did on it. Take care! Happy New Year!

I sometimes wonder why a memory pops into mind, something that causes sadness, suddenly it is there, front and centre. This is a lovely series as you work your way through the
denial-anger-depression-bargaining-to finally get to acceptance, and able to move on, once more. Thanks for sharing.

Loved the message and the meter of your poem! What a great transformation from the processing of the stages of grief that changed from the sorrow triggered by the rain to the acceptance and gratitude for the nourishment from the rain. Wonderfully said!

I really liked:
I found His promise in the rain
that nourishes tomorrows rose. (tomorrow's)

Your poem on the grief process is so heartfelt. I like the way each stanza is written and explained. I especially like the way you tied the first stanza, Denial "the falling rain" to most of the others, especially the last one, Acceptance "a witness to the rain fall.." beautifully written, thanks for sharing.

Oh, Janet, how I wish I had six stars for this very creative and moving poetic offering.
I, too, look to nature when I am in need of healing, and how appropriate that you would choose rain as your journey through the stages of grief.
Very creative and perceptive.

Thank you for sharing!
Sending healing thoughts your way!

Excellent poem about grief.... and the five parts...Denial, Anger, Depression, Bargaining, and Acceptance. I got stuck on depression for a long time after my divorce.

The rhymes do not seem forced. Your poem flows well. It draws on emotions and it presents strong images.

Thank you Gypsy for your kind and encouraging review. Yes, my divorce certainly caused a period of depression too.

A well formatted poem with a nice metaphor of rain. Which is carried throughout and ends with the conclusion that it is both good and bad. The good eventually winning out. The content is structured well to work with nice flow. And a good rhyme scheme also.

Thanks for a good read. Kudos.

This poetry work is breathtaking. Releasing negativity in order to make room for positivity. It's so important to heal and not suppress our emotions. Thanks for sharing this deeply rooted pain memory.
