This is an excellent Rondeau, and seasonal. I love the slow dreamy winter feeling evoked by the choice of the words 'as snow drifts down' as the refrain.

Hello Kate. Thank you for your encouraging review. It is the time of winter snow and we are supposed to have some tonight... yippee... we don't get much snow here in central Virginia, so I am looking forward to it. I appreciate your thoughts on this one!!

Why is this not an entry in the Rondeau contest, Melissa? This is lovely and you make this challenging format look so easy. I really like how you SET THE SCENE, allowing us to share the Speaker's reverie as she watches "snow drift down." I especially like this image: "slow hours pass/An ethereal, white love affair." And you sustain the soft MOOD beautifully throughout. I am enchanted!
