Well, that was a very long squabble the two fairy sisters had. Was there a word maximum you had to meet? I am glad nothing bad happened and the siblings did get to see the human was kind after all. Best wishes in the contest!

This is a charming story that I quite enjoyed. I've always liked fairytales and of course, I still do. I even write some, but they are more for adult children than small ones. Nice job. Is there more?

Thanks so much for your review and kindness. I had no idea where this story was headed until I was in the middle of it. It was fun to live in fantasy world for a short time.

Yes, that's why I like to read fantasy when reality gets to be too much!

Sometimes in life it's hard to recognize and distinguish the monster or ogre from the saint. Looks are deceiving. Meaning, maybe I'm not a scuffed up old boot. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

This is a cute story for the contest. I didn't know fairies would resort to sibling rivalry, but it makes the story so much fun. I love the ending.
Blessings and Happy New Year. Carol

It's good to try a different genre, especially something light after your detective mystery. Hope you enjoyed writing it as much as I enjoyed reading it.

You have more imagination in your pinkie than I have in my whole body! Iam that rare breed that has always found fairies terrifying--ever since a particularly horrid fairy tale my older brother concocted when I was four or five. That set aside, I thoroughly enjoyed the impish snarky back and forth between the twin fairies...and the "take" of the human girl as a monster! (Who knows? Perhaps her Prince will agree one day!) A zillion kudos for coming up with THIS enchanting take from the sentence starts the story!

Thank you for reading, karenina, especially since you don't like the fairies....but you know mine would never be bad or mean. They were just like normal sisters in tiny bodies. It was fun to write.

I'm a strange human.. Fairies and clowns petrify me!

Wonder if there's therapy for that>

Isn't that a lovely story? Different from the normal ones, but still full of the usual fairy devices that Fairies possess, like fairy dust and such. But when the "princess awakens, she will realise she had a tiny bracelet, beautifully written Carol, thank you, blessings Roy

You know me....must have happy endings and hope for another day... at least if it's possible to write it that way. I thank you for starting my year off by reading my bit of fantasy and finding it enjoyable.

Once Upon A Fairytale

Begin Again,
Your fairy tale drew my attention when you brought the little fairy into your cute fairy tale, which held my attention about the fairy dust.

This is a cute fairy tale. You are gifted enough to write in any genre. You sentence starts the story is a good entry for the contest. I enjoyed it. You are getting the New Year off to a good start. I'm hoping my muse hasn't gone too far away, but for the moment, she seems to be lost.

Since making the decision to add space between my life in 2021 and 2022, I feel so much better. Well, I did until about two hours ago. I haven't spoken to my step-daughters since Mike's death. They didn't believe he was as sick as I said and then when he passed, they were angry. Now I am told the middle daughter is in the ICU on ventilator, etc. and it doesn't look good that she will make it. I feel very bad for her children and for her, but it shows you about karma. I pray she makes it but I can't help wondering, as she lies in the hospital alone, if she might remember how her dad felt. That's probably wrong of me, but I can't help it.

I understand how you feel. I hope you can focus more on you own needs this year. You are a very caring person who want to fix things for other but don't wear yourself out in the process.

Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. I enjoyed reading. It's very creative. I always enjoy stories about fairies. Good luck.

The girl placed Carmin in her palm and then plucked Mia out of the mud, too (Carina???)

Carina shrugged and smiled, "No, I opened my eyes." (not a speech tag, period needed after 'smiled')

She gently wiped the mud from Mia's face and eyes. "the yuck gives me the creeps." (capital 't' needed on 'the')

Carina giggled, "Because it was fun watching you, (not a speech tag so period needed after 'giggled')
