Or reflect, as you do here. People struggle with so many demons, including those that live inside. I've lived in the Jim Crow southern US all my long life, and often pondered the disrespect some people so casually inflict on other undeserving people. Yours is an eloquent and succinct dissection of the means to some of those ends. I suspect your musing is spot on. Thanks for putting it out there.

Yes, I believe you are right. And, there is a large population in the world that does not even think the word is relevant to themselves. This is an excellent entry for the 8 words or less. You have penned a strong statement in only 7 words and rhymed it too. Very clever. Best of luck.

I really liked your poem for the contest and wish you good luck. Respect has gone out the window. Growing up, we had to ask to leave the table. Parent's today couldn't care less, thus the problems arise and the children surmise. They do respect their mobile phone, it is more important than respect. K xx

This poem tells a simple truth with internal and end rhyme. It is sad that sometimes this is true. If we showed more respect for each other than we could probably come closer to peace.

I love your suggestion but I doubt this will ever happen. The biggest problem with people is their ego which is often so big that they struggle to be humble and care for anyone else. I know their are exceptions and I try and surround myself with those who have a caring nature. I love your positive words here Wendy, love Dolly x

Yes, you are right. While it would be transformational, focus on self and self-realisation is the philosophy of the day, and that does not sit well with respect for others. I hope my words may at least provoke some thought amongst readers .... Many thanks for reviewing, always appreciated.
