Words can indeed be a double-edged sword. Once they are spoken they can not be changed, taken back, or otherwise altered. Well stated. Poem depicts this well.

That old saying...Sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me...so not true! You make a good point. Words DO scar and your poem reminds this reader that words can be powerfully good, like yours...or powerfully bad. I like the way you wrote this in broken up phrases, like thoughts in your head, that do not have punctuation.
