Sadly this is so true. Thank you for sharing this in a poem because I think that it really gets your point across. Especially with what's happened recently, I love this verse "We risk becoming desensitized by frequent violent acts/That we are a violent society, is a verifiable fact/Mass murders, vigilante executions of other races/Police commit atrocities with blank stares on their faces".

Sadly this is so true. Thank you for sharing this in a poem because I think that it really gets your point across. Thank you, some mistakenly see this as a blanket accusation. Far from it. I do not believe that God would allow this to get to the point where we were all that much out of control. I appreciate your fine comments.

This is a good choice of the picture to match the poem.
Sadly we live in a world as you say full of hatred and racism, coupled with two justice systems and two major parties disagreeing with each other. Under this condition, what we experience are more shooting, more violence, more riots.

A great and very serious warning in poetic form! Thank you for summarizing it so well. It is alarming that we are "becoming desensitized by frequent violent acts" and unjust courtroom decisions. Vigilantes need to answer for the lives they took! But God is the perfect Judge, and as you warned, the end is near.

You are right in that we live in violent times. It seems like they're always crime in the news... it's sad and scary. We can't even go to a parade without fear of getting killed, like it just happened in Wisconsin.

No place is safe any more, A poor child in his room at home is killed by a stray bullet. But some say that access to guns should not be regulated. Maybe not, but if the penalty for unregulated use of a firearm is swift and severe punishment, we might go back to using slingshots.
