This is a wonderfully, happy little poem which should lift the spirits of everyone who reads it. Life is made to have fun and be happy. Sure there are sad times, but in general - be happy!

You do make your reader think about the meaning of life, so you have a good poem for the contest, good luck. I might disagree a bit with you about not being sappy. If I define sappy as a little too sweet, then I think it is okay to be sappy at little. Good job.
