I like this poem especially "So what's your purpose and your plan, some folk think you can see, their future's past and destiny, why won't you answer me? "

Many a time I had the same feelings in the past that my prayers were not answered and I was left in the dark. Those hopeless and depression feelings are unbearable. Having said that, I had hopes and things would change.

Thanks for sharing.

Nicely written. I love the message you are sending your readers in this poem. Stars are truly a wonderous thing to gaze upon but I too am skeptical as to whether or not they proclaim our destiny. Your artwork is spectacular. Great work.

Roy, your poem Spread Your Wings brings out the beauty of what
God created, reminds me when I gaze at the stars of night

By only His robust power God stirs
with His sturdy pulse, so stars soar the midnight sky.

This is a most beautiful poem, Roy, beginning with a stirring description of the stars spreading out their light like eagle's wings. How lovely that thought! I was reminded, as I thought about the vastness of the universe and the uncountable numbers of the stars, how my dad used to marvel at that verse in Genesis: "Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also!" (Gen 1:16) I added the exclamation mark because this was the part that most amazed my father, as if the HUGE array of stars was simply a little afterthought tossed across the sky... no big deal for our powerful God.
I really liked that you posted those beautiful scriptures too, in your author notes. I have long been a huge fan of the stars. I love looking into the night sky, and once, a long time ago, I wrote a poem called "The Stars Don't Care," which covers a little of the same ground you did. But I really meant to tell you how much I enjoyed YOUR poem, with its perfect rhymes and (as always) unbroken meter, but also its inspiring theme. Thanks for the pleasure of reading this. MM

I'm not a poet, and therefore read, but do not usually review poetry. This however, is beautifully written and flows so smoothly it is relaxing and comforting to read. Your chosen artwork clues the reader this is a tribute to stars, but your author notes add an in depth greater message that God is Omnipotent.

Excellent presentation and poem in heptameter. I didn't know it was about stars. I thought it was about God. I guess it is about God too since he made the stars. Well done, Roy.

Check your author notes....

Another beautifully written poem that pleases the ear and eye, but also promotes a thought process. You have to stop and ponder just what the stars make you feel, how they may guide you. Thank you again for a lovely poem.

Hello Roy,
In the light of Author Note, it's a nice piece of poetry having impressive phraseology, smooth flow throughout from the beginning to the end with lovely rhyming scheme, and beautifully depicting the ins and outs of the visible/invisible scenario.
The last stanza is particularly noteworthy.
