This one would have been good for Remembrance/Veterans' Day. It must be so sad for our military folks to have to fight "alone" even if they are with their platoons, it's not the same without their loved ones.

This gogyohka, When I Fight Alone, uses sixteen lines, to my reckoning, and finds the protector as the last defense against invading hordes. Surely a last day for one, but many foes first. Nice.

I guess this could be a contest. You have to rank us :).
This is very beautifully written poem for a Japanese or Chinese warrior. He stands erect in the snow facing thousands of enemies.
This poem flows very well.

I created a Gogyohka contest :). I kept it easy for the contest, basically a Japanese free verse.
