This is a nice entry for the short poem contest! It makes a lot of sense. Sometimes I wake up in the night with words in my head that I want to remember for a poem. If I can't get up and go do the poem then, I just write the words in the notebook that I keep by my bed. Good luck with the contest.

For we writers, it is always good to be prepared. Happens to me even in the shower. At times, I wrote when I was dripping wet. Thanks for the read and feedback.

Do you record your dreams? There are so many thoughts, while awake, and dreams that are remembered when we awake, but are quickly forgotten. You are correct - we need to write everything down. :)

I keep a notebook on my bed table. Record dreams as soon as I wake and thoughts while I lie in bed. Thanks for your feedback.
