Another good story. But you dont learn. But cant blame you. They are sweet dogs. You bring them in your story like they are alive. Thank you for sharing again and good luck in the contest.

You earned six stars with this beautiful story. I'm a dog lover myself and have had several heelers and white german shepherds throughout the years. My last dog is now 10 years old and starting to show it. She will be my last dog as I am 75 and would not get another dog that would probably outlive me. It would not be fair to the dog as they become so very attached to their humans. Your story touched my heart and I could feel your pain when you lost your friends. Your story is beautifully done.

Thank you, I actually had to pull this one down last night because I accidentally posted III before I and II. All three stories are up now. Sorry you read them out of order, but if you liked I and III, I think you will love II.

Durendal's life was far too short, but he was lucky to have found such a loving family and fascinating environment. The photos are a fantastic addition to the story. Those ducks, lol!
