You creatively put together a piece of time in your 5-7-5, using great imagery. Although the overall presentation gives me a feel of blistery cold weather, I feel warmth in my heart because the gentleman sacrifices his own warmth as he loves his cattle and goes out into the cold to feed them.
Great job!

The objective correlative of the poem reminisces a relay race from a harsh snow season to a warmer one that affords the herder less difficulty to gather fodder for his flock.

Typical of a Haiku, the work highlights the prevailing seasonal outlook;with it's traditional three lines and 5-7-5 syllables count.

Excellent work. Bravo.

I enjoyed this novel 5-7-5 poem because I know so little about farming in the winter. I appreciate the photo included which SHOWS how "Grandpa brings them hay" after a blizzard.

Thanks much for the read and review. The farming life would not be my choice, but I'm happy there are those who do it. Feedback greatly appreciated.

Very vivid visuals with your great 5-7-5 piece here. I love the picture. There's a place close to the surface for all, or most, of us that remembers our pastoral roots. I can smell the hay :)
