This is great writing. It could easily be set to music. The rhythm and rhyme carry the reader just as effectively as the words. I fully understand why you are such a winner on FanStory.

This is a wonderful poem, one I shall remember. The only suggestion I can offer on it is a minor meter adjustment: "when the moisture dims his eyes" (THE adds an extra syllable, and if you omit it, it will match better with the previous line).

Ah, a great dedication to a taleswapper. You did a great job bring us along with you and showing us how the magic of storytelling was transferred from ear to ear. We all know the tale but sometimes we forget what came before books and movies.

I had to give it to you though. This is one moving poem. I dearly love your simple, down home style. It's such an easy read. I find myself tearing up at the truth of your words.
