This is a beautiful tribute that reminds us that freedom, if not guarded, can be lost almost instantly. I hope people will choose to preserve it. I can't forget the founders who pledged their "lives, fortunes and sacred honor" to win it for us. And some lost the first two.

Hi Jay. Again you've written a wonderful poem in which you express what so many of us feel in this unstable world we are increasingly living in. So many seem hellbent on destroying what has been achieved since the last world war. I do hope we can turn it around. Ulla:)))

Nice piece of poetry having impressive phraseology, enchanting flow throughout from the beginning to the end with lovely rhyming scheme, beautifully reminding us our Past, Present and Future as well as our duty at present.

Your poem speaks of much messiness throughout the world. It is time for each individual to seek and find kindness, compassion, truth, respect and wisdom. A focus on others rather than a selfish attitude will bring much needed change. Excellent poem.

Yes... I would have to agree the world is in a mess and sometimes it is difficult to hang on, as you suggest, This is easy to follow and fun to read in spite of its dire message.
