Yvonne

I've learned a lot about cats since I've been here on FS. It's good to know that cats have psychiatrists they can go see when they are feeling a little stressed or in this case a little misunderstood.

What a delightful story!! I have a skittish cat and a "Foster" - it is fun to watch them react to household noises and disturbances. I think a visit to a psychiatrist would do them both well, but I will just give them catnip treats instead.

Thank you. Yes, I think giving them catnip is cheaper than a psychiatrist.

-Nice image and
story to go with it.
-Is it your cat's picture?
-The dialogue is very
good and believable.
-You could substitute
a child in this and it
would still make sense.
-I like the theme of being
different and how others react,
making Foster think he has
to be that way, too.
-A very good ending, as well.

Yes, that is Foster's picture. It doesn't do him justice, though. It didn't show how sweet his face is. Sometimes, I can look at him and crack up because he has a deer-like resemblance. Thanks, Pam.

Lol. Very humorous and we can all learn that it is fine to accept ourselves as we are. We don't have to be like everyone else! Or anyone else. Uniqueness is what makes each person and each cat so special. Best wishes to Foster! Well written and clever.

This was definitely interesting, damommy. I loved the idea that Foster went in search of a psychiatrist. It was interesting that the other cats felt that Foster was wrong about how other cats reacted to stressful circumstances. What was amusing was the doctor's reaction to Foster's request. Great job and very enjoyable.

Lol! I didn't expect that ending! But I liked learning more about Foster. What a great guy - thinks for himself, and acts accordingly. Now that's a special cat! But he'd really like a note! Hahaha!
Patch was so spooked today when I spread out my arms suddenly. She went flying down the hall like she saw a ghost or something!

This is an excellent piece, smoothly flowing with effective, logical dialogue. Casting a cat as one of the speakers makes it entertaining. I hope Foster clawed the doctor on his way out! LOL!

He should have, but he's a laid-back fellow. Completely unflappable. Thanks for a delightful review.

I had a cat many years ago whose favourite treat was to have her coat vacuumed. She would stand there squirming in ecstasy as I vacuumed her. She had been brought up to it from a kitten (not by me) so it had no terrors for her.

I had a rabbit like that. He loved to be vacuumed. The cats don't like it at all. When I want to do something I don't want to be bothered, I turn it on wherever I am.

This a cute story. I've had laid back cats before. It really frustrated a dog who wants to chase one, when they won't run. Cats are like people and have varying personalalities. You've written a dialogue only scene and it was fun to read. Good entry for the challenge.

One aspect of Foster's personality stands out, Yvonne. He is an observant kitty and smart--well that's two. I like the way he developed his story. I could see everything he wrote about himself and the others kitties in his family. He really is ok, but maybe just needed a little reassurance from the psychiatrist. I like the use of the two colors of font. The way the others mentioned 'stash' was funny, though I'm sure not true. The ending was hilarious with the doctor giving in and telling him he's not normal and to get out of here. His picture is awesome, too.
Respectfully, Jan
