This is funny. I'm sure there are things our pets will never understand some of the things we do. I love the part about the picnic. I think I may have to adapt that for when I walk past a bbq that smells really good. I'll tell them that's it's a compliment that I want to eat their food and they should hospitable. Lol.

I believe animals understand our doings. My male cat lays beside me on my desk and paws the keys on my keyboard. Maybe he doesn't know words, but he wants to help Mommy get through so she can feed him. Very nicely done write!

Dear Sunny, I enjoyed reading your conversation with the psychiatrist. It's so sweet that you're a friendly dog, but sometimes your Mama is right. You should intrude on picnics or chase other pets. Humans just don't understand, and it's best not to put yourself in a position to be reprimanded. I love it when I meet someone like you. Maybe, if you keep being friendly, you'll draw your Mama out of her shell.

Thank you for your lovely review! The psychiatrist told him that humans have different social norms for making friends, and that his Mama is fine. Each must just accept the other?s ways. Lol.
    Many thanks.

Well Sunny you should have patience with your Mama. Apparently she has difficulty in meeting people.
You, however you do not help your cause chasing other pets.
Do not give up on her.
Wendy very clever and creative write.
Regards
Mary

Thank you so much Mary. What a lovely review. The psychiatrist told Sunny that humans and dogs have different norms and customs for making friends, and that Mama has many friends, but doesn't just approach strangers or stand and stare at them. Lol. So now he understands. Or says he does!

Hi Wendy,
I enjoyed Sunny's visit to the dog psychiatrist. No wonder you named him "Sunny". He's not only friendly, but also focused, fascinated, and discriminatory. Dogs are smarter than we think. Love the cartoon as well!
Nicely penned!
Hugs,
Kimbob

Hello to you Sunny, I hear that you understand what humans are saying.
I understand how you feel; it seems that you are like a dog who wants to make friends and by showing such;
you wag your tail, but DON'T jump on them.
Humans frown and they let you know they don't want to be touched.

    Hello Gert,
Sunny is very happy that you reviewed his story. He said to tell you that he is a good boy and doesn?t jump up on people.
He just walks up to them and then sits down for a pat. Lol.

Very good club entry and I enjoyed paw-sing to read the story. I love the context you established of a dog on a psychiatrist's couch and the dog pouring out his thoughts about his mother. Well done!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well Sunny, I enjoyed your post. I think perhaps you need to give Mama break. Obviously, your upbringing was different than hers and you need to respect that. You can't push your beliefs on her just because she loves you. She believes that she is looking out for your best interests, so play along, sometimes. It will make her happier and therefore, you will be happier.

Thank you for your very observant and convincing view of the world, Sunny! I am glad you got to enjoy the couch at the analyst's office. But I see in the picture that the analyst is a human, so did she share more about your mom's point of view?

Lol. Yes, she explained human behaviour to me, and said that humans and dogs have different social and cultural norms and that we are both right in our own way. And I had to pay her for that advice!!
    Love from Sunny

💖🐶😻 Well, it's good to know it's a cultural difference. Your mama knows lots about understanding and respecting difference cultures!

I always love to read what Sunny has to say. Who says dogs can't talk? I always knew what my dog was saying and he understood me. My daughter had to cats. One knew exactly what she was saying. The other one pretended he didn't understand, until she came after him. Then he knew to hurry off of the furniture. The story I liked most was Sunny visiting the picnic to sniff around other people's food. This story is humorous and heartwarming, and Sunny is lovable.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. Yes they can talk - but they only talk to people who believe they can! Lol.
