Love the photo! You'd look fabulous if your hair was "sky-blue-pink."

You go girl in that rockin' dress! You're what? Forty? Maybe? (smile)

Hmmm. Xanax. You are surely not physically addicted. That tiny of a dose would hardly do anything. Maybe it's having a placebo effect?

The trouble with Xanax (do you have an hour?)--is my nurse self needs to tell you it's horrible for sleep...and your body builds up a tolerance for it really fast.

That's why people who start on 0.25 mg, go to 0.5m then 1mg. Often up to 1 mg three times a day...

(And these are prescriptions doctors will right without blinking!)

I have a similar sleep issue. I'm often up until 3Am or 4AM...and then up and about by 9AM latest. I blame it on years and decades of working 11PM-7AM.

I did a brief foray into Xanax land. I, too, am not an addict. BUT--man, it was hard to convince me this wasn't my happy sleep drug!

I will refrain from offering alternative solutions. You're smart as a whip.

You'll figure it out!

SAB! It's my own fault for staying in StoryLand until 3 a.m.! Thanks for the wise advice. My daughter takes several pills every night--it's indeed a vicious cycle. Whenever I take that extra hit in the morning, it's a double-edged sword--I have weird dreams and wake up groggy. So glad you like the pic!

Oh, the wee hours of the morning are my favorite for FS cruising! Who needs sleep!

    Oh, right.

    Apparently we do!

I have the same sleep problem. Bed at 12, awake until 2 and awake at 3:30 and 5 AM, feed the cats, back to bed at 6 AM. and finally, sleep until 8 or 9 AM.
I have a theory about sleep aids, I believe they really finally kick in in the last two hours.
The picture is good showing two attractive women and one with perfectly pink hair.
Regards,
Mary

The photo looks fine, with two attractive looking girls sporting their comely figures and waiting to attending your son's wedding. My hair's quite short these days, although Elaine did say yesterday that I looked like I'd slept on one side, well done Liz, blessings Roy

It takes more than you take to keep me asleep!! I guess when we are my age, it is okay to sleep less so when we are dead we sleep a lot. It is impossible to imagine you the age you must be...you look to be in your twenties. Just keep your delightful writes coming cause I love every one.

Thank you for sharing your story. I am off my prescription pain pills as of yesterday. Today, so far only 2 Tylenol. I've been up for over 5 hours and on my second ice pack. Maybe I'll make it.

Actually you look like a blonde in this one and yourg one at that. You and daughter could be sisters. I can't sleep either. If I get five hours I'm delighted. I also break pills into tiny pieces. I'm convinced the dosage is too much and too much will probably kill you.

Yikes! That's why I stay away from sleeping compounds. I suggest that you eat a handful of pistachio nuts, high in Melatonin a half hour or so before going to bed. Works for me. My daughter says walnuts work for her because of the high content of magnesium in them.

Nice pic. If i had them I might be able to fix the lighting some. :)

You two are beautiful. I love the multi-colored dress which I have many and also multi-colored soaks and shoes (Dansko clogs). I can have them matching.

You daughter is gorgeous. I can't picture her with some of writing you did about her before.

Well done and congratulations.

I don't know whether to laugh of cry. I did laugh that if it were not a true story you would just make it up so you could post the picture...loved that. I did not cry that you have trouble sleeping, but I am old and I do relate, it is a pain. Good Job.

Interesting narrative. My name is Paul. I am not an addict, but I do have to spend some time on this computer, reading and writing poems. Sometimes I don't get enough sleep (last night just two or three hours). I was at this computer for many hours. Maybe I am an addict.
