Hi Liz,
I think you'd look great as a brunette, even in a choppy bob. Maybe with a few blond highlights? Your pink hair is striking ... eye-catching ... arresting ... like your writing.
Pills. My wife is a walking drug store. And if I say anything detrimental, she gets mad at me. If the doctor prescribes it, she takes it purposefully. But really, I think it's shortening her life.
I recall that terrific 1997 movie, "As Good As IT Gets", starring Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt. Here's what he had to say about pills...

If you've never seen this movie, watch it. It's one of my Top Ten favorites. A wonderful romantic comedy.
Now, after offering that bit of negativity, have you ever tried Melatonin to help with sleep. Melatonin is a hormone, produced naturally in the body as it gets dark. It allows better sleep, and quicker time falling asleep. Of course, ask your doctor about using it before you buy it.
Here's my favorite line,
"My friend Chuck deems my dose tantamount to placebo." ... God Bless Chuck!
Your daughter is gorgeous, like her dynamic mother.
Hugs,
Kimbob

Thanks for that!
It's my own fault for staying in StoryLand until 3 a.m.! Glad you see the pink! Others do too. I do, but I figured it was wishful perception.

Same with me; I feel drained rather than rested, and often have weird dreams when I take it towards morning to catch some sleep. It's a toss up--I feel lousy either way--4 hours vs or 6 hours via "Vitamin X"

Glad you Like the pic. Do you see the pink? Some have said so. I do, but I figured it was wishful perception.

I have found that if you take the tablet a9 and go to sleep at 10 then the 'zombi' feeling is less and wears of by noon.I dont sleep if I go to bed after 11.

Makes sense--alas, I've been flouting sense by staying in StoryLand half the night.

Great picture, and to me your hair looks pink, not grey. I have trouble in waking up about 3 or so and not being able to get back to sleep. I don't take any medicine to help me sleep. If I toss and turn for a while, I figure I'll make up for it by sleeping longer the next night. Interesting details about how you break up the Xanax. judi

Which one is your daughter?
You both look the same age.
Putting my doc hat on
Watch Dr Stasha Gominac Neurologist of 30 yes.
On YouTube.
Expert on sleep.
She has the solution for you.
It involves vit. D.
No excuses accepted.
It does mean you'll have less time to write reviews. :-))Z.
But. A few more years to play with the grandchildren.

Okay, Liz:
One thing I've come to be certain of over my 70 years is that one must have adequate sleep in order to maintain peak performance. My doctor recently suggested I take 10 - 30 mg of Melatonin every night about 30 minutes prior to when I want to go to sleep. I decided I was going to start at 15 mg. It has provided great help to get me to sleep and keeping me asleep. It comes in gummy form. I use Natrol's 5mg strawberry gummy brand.
I trust you are safe and well.

Your hair looks pink. Your legs a trifle jaundiced, but your hair looks quite pink, madame. It's good in its way to hear I am not the only one with sleep problems. Why does my creative mind find 4 AM the perfect time to work over a kink in a plot or count syllables in a line of haiku when my reasonable mind it's time to sleep. I did find a solution of sorts, you might try. Whether my Fitbit tells me I got four or five or (hurrah!) even six hours of sleep the night before, I force myself to take a 1/2 hour (no more, no less) nap in the afternoon. It does something to regulate my system, and I no longer wake (often ...) at 4 AM. Try it.

Hello Liz.
My hair is dusty gray no matter what the lighting is. None of it has turned loose but it has turned gray. It resembles stuffed toy stuffing or something falling out of a duvet.

I have a rule to get out of here by NLT 11:00pm. I'm a few minutes past due but I'm reaching for the switch as I speak.

I'm so sorry that you're having such sleep problems. Are you getting out to walk daily? Doing any deep breathing exercises before sleep? I'm glad you are careful with the Xanax.
I love that picture of you and Lauren and the dresses are so perfect for your great figures and personality! I had a shirt just like your dress when I was in high school. Lol.

I like the pink hair that has personality. Someone who isn't afraid to set out of the box, meaning to or not. Plus, until I swore off women, and girls, Mick would have needed to watch his step. Lauren is a looker. Sorry, mom, chill, it's meant strictly as a complement. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Commiserations. Same here for the last two nights. Horrid. I ended up taking a whole tablet with little effect (a different brand). Totally unrefreshing bits of sleep, and feeling like something the cat dragged in - until bedtime when my mind snaps a switch and is fully alert. Now counting the hours till my next "sleep" and it's only 8:10 am!!
Totally with you here!!
