Such a sad story
Airplanes
Those jet fuel guzzling monsters
It's all their fault.
It was nice when children couldn't travel far and could look after their parents.
Conclusion
Witches with brain tumours
Can be deceiving.:-))Z.

It was a poignant occasion. Teri was stressed all summer, wondering whether her mother would survive to attend the wedding.

    Wryly clever review!

Hi Elizabeth,

Oh, this broke my heart! It is always this way in life, beauty and love tinged with sadness and the aspect of death looming. I hope Mary has an easy death...I wish that for all the sick people. My brother passed away from Melanoma just as his first granddaughter was born. He got to hold her in the hospital and then shortly after he was gone. It was devastating for our whole family.

I feel for you, Elizabeth. It is hard not to know someone but for a minute and then they're gone. Praying all involved do well with this coming loss.

Your excellent post showed that children sometimes don't paint their parents in the best of lights, do they? ...ahem ahem :))

Best to you, Liz,
Senyai

Maybe Mary had realised that life is a one time occasion and that she has to rise to it before it was too late. It makes passing that much easier and agreeable. I liked this poignant story. Thanks for sharing.

That is really sad that Teri's mum will only be a grandmother posthumously, it is a wonderful thing to have these amazing grandchildren, it is the best thing.ever. So beautifully written Liz, blessings Roy

Very very sad. But so very glad she lived to see her daughter married, with someone to live and share life with. Also very glad that you and she "clicked" as that is very special and will be good for Teri as well. I am glad that the wedding went beautifully for all. Wishing Dan and Teri every happiness.

Very hard. Particularly knowing that her mother would never have the joy of being a grandmother. Their wedding must have been a wonderful and joyful time for Mary and she probably stayed strong just to be there and achieve that goal.

What a sad story about Dan's mother-in-law and the fact that he apparently doesn't think too highly of her, especially since she has so little more life to live. Still, it sounded like a lovely ceremony. I can't wait to see the pictures, particularly your flattened hairdo.

So Mary flew (with stage 4 brain cancer) across the country? She made it to the wedding okay? I am glad you got to meet her and that you could give her a kind memorial even as you celebrate Dan and Teri's wedding. It does cast a bit of a shadow but it's good to think ahead about the new life to come.

What a happen start for your son's great day and your future as a grandmother. It's such a great news except for the sad undercurrent of Teri's mother's pending death. But life continues.

Well done.
