Oh-oh. A snide comment that completely goes over Billy's head. It seems Billy thinks his mother isn't that bad if he wants to honor his mother with the name. Cute story. I guess the contest is over?

Life is hard when you've lost your mother and another takes care of you just as she always did. For the stepmother to be kind-hearted and understanding is a plus that the little boy may never realize that he had. Good luck with the contest.
