This is a poignant write that I can identify with as the volcano on La Palma erupts and people have flocked to the island to watch, yet the destruction has destroyed many homes and the insurance will not cover the loss, very scary, love Dolly x

A strong image. The words are well chosen. The poem flows well. The message is conveyed well.
Suggestions:
The first line has six syllables. Lava is two syllables. This could be easily corrected by removing the word
as. That word adds little to the message in my mind.
