This is a fascinating write. I'm glad you're such a blessed woman. I'm catching this late in the conversation. I'm a year older than Evan right now. I think it's super cool for your children and grands to see you in this light. Sending you my best today as always,

This story was written eleven years after the first on you read. The frist was about the early years of our marriage in the late fifties. In this one a lot of time had passed. I'm in the process of writing these chapters now. This one has more about my children who are already grown. In it I'm addressing my husband who passed away in 2017.

Enjoyed the stories in this episode of your family life, especially about the boys constantly calling for Connie. I guess Charlie is winning over JP. And Don's asking the doctor to verify that there wasn't a boy left inside you when Connie was born was just hysterical! I hope he got used to his lot in life. My husband had three sisters, too.

Nice to see the family growing and moving forward instead of being totally independent on Mom and Dad... but then are they ever totally gone...I don't think they are... You have such an excellent memory of all their thoughts and happenings. This book will be very special to them.

Hugs, Carol

Thank you Carol. They don't really ever leave. Even when they no longer live with you, they still feel like whatever is yours, they are entitled to as well and they can drop in at the most inconvenient times. Their problems are still yours and they don't want advice. They just want you to solve their problem. Lol

Thank you Barbara. I'm so glad you are enjoying. I don't have a very dramatic life but it seems the kids kept some small drama going all the time.

I swear I don't know how you kept up with your kids. There is always so much going on. Well Connie is your youngest. They have all left the nest, but they still know where home is. That is a good sign . LOL A sign of good parenting. Well done, Beth. Nancy:)

I don't care how nice Charlie seemed, it doesn't do a mother, or father, good to find out their daughter's new boyfriend likes to gamble. And they would be right 90% of the time. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for your kind words, Beth. I have started two new chapters, but some health issues have kept me too busy to finish them up. But hopefully, soon I can work on them. Whoever called these the golden years should be shot. LOL. Have a wonderful week!

Hi, Beth, so everything seems to move along quite nicely. I had to laugh about Don wanting to see if he could change the sex of his unborn child. But I can understand him wanting a boy. But it's not to be. And Connie seems to have plenty of boyfriends.
I only found one thing: because he'd been so certain it was going to be (a) boy.
As you know, I so enjoy this story. Ulla:)))

Thank you Ulla. I'm so you enjoy my story. Things don't always work out the way we chose. I guess Don finally realized the sex of his child wasn't in his hands. Thanks for pointing out the miising word.

This was another great chapter about your adventures with your family. Connie doesn't lack for boyfriends! And poor Don; he wanted a brother, and now he wants a son, but it seems to be always, girls!

Here are my suggested revisions:

It's great that you and Evan were comfortable enough to have fun and joke around, about being missed, but that you still worried about each other and looked after each other.

Your parents are getting older here, and your father's having a hard time.

I hope Connie's latest career choice was the one that worked out.

I love this book! It gets ever richer. Wonder who Connie will end up with.

You agreed I should go, so I drove Connie and [I=>MYSELF] to Atlanta.

Don wanted to go to the nearby town of Philadelphia [and=>TO] see the Indian Casino COMMA which had been recently built.
