Allie and Garth need to talk. We've have to get these two together before the story ends. LOL I love the story.

He figured out that if she thought Sweet Haven was cursed, she'd leave after Jack's death." (omit 'that')

I agree, but I'm not sure either of them is prepared for what awaits them. I guess only time will tell.

I'm glad you enjoyed the book. I am worried about the ending, but I hope everyone loves it. I'll be lost without my characters and my friends.

    Hugs, Carol

This is great. I have been hopint you would figure out a way to save Faith's life but I didn't see a way to do it. Maybe if the drug acts like cancer she never had cancer at all. I don't think the doctor is in on it but we;ll see.

Yes, I think everyone wanted her life to be saved. Not sure about being healed, but definitely slowed to a pace she can enjoy her family for a while longer. The shots gave my mother more time.

This book has been extremely enjoyable. I waited for each chapter to come along and it was always worth the wait! I still am impressed by how well you write your stories. I feel like I'm reading a book from The Best Seller's List. You really do write that well.

Oh flattery will get you a special place in my heart, dear friend. I am so worried about the last chapter... It's different and I have left an open door to the next book. I'm praying it works!

Thank you so much! Always, Carol

This was brilliant again, now we know that Faith is much worse because of this poisoned chemo! That Mason was a rotten toe-rag. But do you think the doctor was involved, too? I can't see it, my self. He would know lots of undetectable ways to murder someone who has a terminal illness. It wouldn't be hard.
I think Garth is acting like a spoilt brat. Why shouldn't Allie go and see her sister? They've only just got together, surely he can't think that she has to drop everything for him? Allie needs to have a real go at him. I would!! Another wonderful chapter, my friend. I've loved this book. One more part? That will be a cracking ending, I can feel it already. Love and hugs, my friend. xxx Sandra

Allie will need Garth more than she knows and he will attempt to be his charming self once again in the next chapter. Never fear!

And I too doubt that the small-town doctor was aware of the poison. The symptoms are identical to the cancer so he assumed she just was progressing as the disease does. Possibly - Liz might get more time than she thought with her sister. One never knows, but we can hope.

I am really worried about this last chapter. I hope as it ends it doesn't come as a let down or possibly confusing. I've left the ending as an open door for Book 4. I've never done that before so I don't know how well it works. When you read it, please tell me if you don't think it works.

    Thanks for all your support.

    Love and hugs, Carol

When I wrote my trilogy, (which never started out that way) the final chapter was always left open with a clue as to what was to come. Then I put,
The End ... For Now... And everyone was so pleased there was another book coming. It was my favourite series, and everyone still remembers Mildred who started off as a maid, and all my readers loved her. Leave yours open, and just as what I did at the end. I'm really going to read the next book to see where you take us. xxx

Thanks for telling me that...it makes me feel so much better. I've never written one quite like this, but the story was already forming in my mind, and I wanted to tease others to follow.

Matt didn't want me to start another one right away because he says I need to polish and publish... he's right, but the writing seems to be a steady catharsis for me right now.

i know Sunday is only two days away, but I really I am eager to see what the response will be.

    Love ya, Carol

Personally, I'm with you on this. While you are feeling all over the place, writing will help. If you start editing and polishing now, you won't be able to concentrate because you know the story and won't see the errors. I'm only now editing Betrayal, I left it for a few weeks. I'm really looking forward to Sunday's post. xxxx

This Chapter 63 of the Mystery and Crime Fiction, from the book Secrets in the Wind, speaks in continuation more about Mason's Stash reveals secrets thru solid plot taletelling, thru solid concordized plot development, backed by dialogues realistic; ends with appreciation; well said, well done; thanks for sharing this. Hello Carol, Congrats on coming nearer to the finishing line. Great effort! I enjoyed the last few episodes as I was a late entrant and I like your style of storytelling. It is possible there may be some loose ends. Regular readers may tell you about it. So, all the best for your next story. I look forward to the final chapter. Cheers!

    Thanks, Seshadri

Just finished reading your latest chapter as well and liked the addition of "gangsters" chasing other bad guys. Stir the pot!!!

Yes, more loose ends, and more evidence against Mason. Surprised he would keep that against himself, have all those guns, but none on him when he visited the cabin. I would be cautious about going too far.

ten crates of assault rifles

-There actually is no such thing as an assault rifle. I doubt an FBI agent would used the term in this official report to his boss.

Thanks for the review and the suggestions. I did research the guns (because I know nothing about them) and numerous posts showed the FBI recovering assault rifles.

    Example"
after no fewer than 16 unregistered assault weapons and 13 illegal silencers were found

In Munchel?s bedroom, agents found a Stack-On safe with 15 firearms, including assault rifles, a sniper rifle with a tripod, other rifles

    Did I misread these?

As for Mason entering the cabin without a gun, he knew he had hidden two there and he was going after them. Maybe I could have had him grab one as he raced from the ranch to disappear.

I appreciate your input. So are you saying that Mason's response was not feasible and I should rewrite it? Always open for suggestions.

    Thank you - Carol

Assault rifle is a media created term. But, most readers will not know.

So, it's okay if I leave it as is? If I self-publish, I would like as much to be accurate as possible. Thanks for your comments.
