This reminds me of going to thrift sales and bringing more trinkets home. Do you get rid of the ones that you had or do you use the new products? Do you have extra space so you can store them (after you get done using them)?

I showed your poem to my spouse because I absolutely get it. I hoped he would get it too as he is constantly pressuring me to get rid of my things, my precious remembrances. As if I ever could. Thank you for your confirmation of my feelings about my 'stuff'. It is a fine poem that everyone who is a collector can identify with. Good luck in the contest.

Delightful! Oh, we are kindred spirits, my friend. I, too, struggle with giving or throwing away my "precious" things. They aren't worth much monetarily, but boy do they hold a wealth of memories! This is a delighful poem.

I like your poem about messes. You have rhymed it very well and you have great rhythm. Unfortunately, I can identify all too well. It is so hard to know what to do with things that you have collected over time and memorabilia from parents, etc. I have just been passing some of it on. Good luck in the contest.

Oh, do I relate to the Speaker in this poem. Like her, I collect too many things and I don't want part with any. Good description of what she owns . I especially like stanza 4. And your last stanza sums up my attitude, too. Rod

I'm glad I'm not the only one. When I was little I used to collect stray animals, but my parents put a stop to that fast..lol. Thanks so much for reading my poem. :)
