Thanks a beautiful story, PapaMike! If only those in such desperate need can always be directed to loving, generous and faithful people like at the Round-up Cafe.
I really liked " jeans so tight you can see her future. " That really made me chuckle!
Suggestion: It seems they are addressing Dave who has Steph's lipstick on his cheek:
"Well, Steph, better get that lipstick off of your cheek, (Dave not 'Steph')

It would be lovely if this story wasn't fiction. I thought it was real at first the way you were describing these people. I can't imagine anyone taking a robbery so calmly or giving momey so freely and beautiful girls in their twenties okey with working in their parents restaurant and praying or the patrions but it certainly would be a dream come true. Now those town names are unique but I can believe that. In Ooltewah, near Chattanooga we have a very expensive restaurant called the Local Goat and it doesn't have goat on the menu. I enjoyed your story.

This is a wonderful family story, Mike. It's nice to read these messages of random acts of kindness, especially in these days of division. Well done.
A few little fixes: "Stephan cries out, "Country fried steak, slathered in the window." - I think you mean, Stephan cries out from the window, "Country fried steak, slathered."
"Steph comes around the corner with (an) order and yells..."
"Steph reaches (into) her pocket and says..."
"I know who brought (you) here today."

I think you painted a wonderful scene here that illustrates how events can change if we answer tension with love. I thought you did a great job characterizing everyone in this, waitress, who disarms the would be robber, and the robber himself, a picture of desperation who breaks down when his desperation is answered by the kindness of the patrons and the waitress. Nice dialogue, real emotional estory

This is a wonderful story, Mike. You always have something uplifting for us to read and think on. What a wonderful world it would be if there were more people like the family at the Round-up Café. Well dine my friend. Nancy:)

What a great little feel good story. And it's right: just a little kindness goes a long way. Where are those darn sixes when I need one most. Thanks for sharing another fine story.

Hey, Mike, it's so good to read your warm, down-home stories again. This is among your best. You painted the characters with such individual colors, I swear I could walk into the Round Up and pick them out by description. Add the authentic drama at the ending gave your story a very tender touch. You keep writing them, I'll keep reading them.

Hello, my friend. Biscuits and gravy are a Southern delight for breakfast. You crumble a biscuit on a plate, break up a piece of breakfast sausage, then scatter the pieces on the biscuit and pour white pepper gravy over it all. My wife's favorite. Thank you for your kind words!
Have a great day, and God bless.
