I really enjoyed your lovely story of reminiscing about your Labrador childhood and family activities. Your brothers were so good to send those much appreciated care packages. I feel for your disappointment at discovering Santa Claus wasn't real - I believed in him for a long time too.
I think your story would read better if it wasn't in centered lines, just run on like normal reading for a story.

This is a charming story and I really enjoyed it. It sounds as if you had a delightful childhood. I can't remember when I learned that there was no Santa Clause, Easter Bunny or Tooth Fairy, but I do remember the terrible disappoint and sense of loss. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you for sharing these delightful memories of your childhood. Sounds similar to the way I grew up when life was a lot simpler than it is for kids today, we made our own fun rather than depending on toys and electronics.

This is a great non fiction! It is refreshing to see a well-written non-fiction after seeing so many fictions and poetries. Your first sentence really sums up the whole passage:
Looking back over my life. I can honestly say the best time of my life was the innocent and tender years before responsibilities.
