The Rapture is on its way and my suitcase is by the door!! How sweet to rise to heaven where there is peace and a Savior who loves us...this is an excellent warning and write. Very well done!!

Hello Sherry, I feel for those who reject Christ; so many pagan religions. We know He will save us from ourselves. Thanks for reading new friend. Blessings, Kay xx

Well, Aussie, I am a Jew, but somehow I feel Jesus speaking to me through this poem. I have read it several times. Judgement is coming. Greed is not helpful and it is addictive. So, a Jew or not, I feel forced to process this poem in my heart. I just stopped to read this poem again.
You sure don't mince words. But the rhyming, for me, tends to be fun.
I just reread this poem several times, these times aloud. Powerful!
But how can this poem be improved? I must admit: it feels like blasphemy to even ask such a question. But then again, we are just mortals. Our wisdom and our goodness are as naught. Perhaps we don't have to be quite so hard upon ourselves. But, being a Jew, perhaps that is easy for me to write. Dare I really suggest that being more forgiving would improve your work?

Thank you for reading Stuart. Yes, it is hard-hitting words. I have great respect for the Jewish people. All religions interest me. I write from my heart, when the spirit moves me to write. Jesus comes first in my life. God comes first in yours. I don't have time for religions that are embellished by man. Your faith is of the fathers. Going so far back to the time of the beginnings of faith. When God spoke to man. Then, man decided to climb the tower of Babel so he could be on the same level. God was not impressed, he scattered the tribes and gave them each a different tongue - none could understand one another. The beginnings of greed. Shalom my friend. Kay xx

he who gave us life and light
will chain Satan with his might
Be not afraid of his power
For coming is His heavenly shower
I loved this last stanza .
I am waiting for the heavenly shower

Your imagery is a perfect match with your poem, K. There is a lot of strife these days, and I admire your faith. Destiny has a large prong is definitely vivid imagery in drawing in the fact all will be ferreted out.

Great job you, and many thanks for sharing. :))

Bless you my friend. I am a 'sensitive' (google if you wish.) I see and feel things well before others ( your company excluded. My physical self is getting worse, my spiritual self is getting stronger. I turned 76 last week, I don't complain about being a wheelchair dude. If I am in a lot of pain, I pray for others who are worse off. I have a strong link to you (believe it or not) like a sister. Do you get my drift? I know you are a very private person with a cheeky sense of humour and a mother's loving heart. I hope I didn't make you blush! So glad you liked my poem. I had a strong urge to write it. My higher self gives me the words (as does yours) we just type! K xx

This is a very well written true poem you have penned my friend. You used very good descriptive words and very amazing imagery from the art work you chose. Jesus will return one day and sooner rather than later. Thanks for sharing. love and blessings, Teri

Good material. I don't see why have not rhymed the first stanza, but have done so in the rest. The meter seems to be a little inconsistent. The topic is a good one.

Hello Paul in Maine. I didn't rhyme it because I didn't want to. As there is only a year between us and you are a fisherman I admire your tenacity (Joke) attacking a one-legged, Australian garden gnome (true) how about writing something? I joined in 2010! We need good writers. Bless you, Kace.

This is wise and Biblical in content. There will come a time, maybe soon, when Jesus will return, and establish His reign of righteousness and peace. Prior to that there will be suffering, but we do not need to fear. We are secure in Him.
Well written!
Wendy

Well said, Aussie. The world is in need of a change of direction at the moment and we all need to do our part. Spiritual values need a sharper focus and harmony between people of all races would be a good start.

This was a great poem, Kay, a rather inspirational one. It definitely shows what one must do in spite of all that each of us has suffered. The past year and a half have been devastating for us but only faith and belief shall survive. I found your picture and your narrative notes very interesting. Very well done, wisely put and enlightening.
