Hello Karenina,
Such a very nice tribute to a person you didn't know either. However, I loved the way you wrote this lovely poem about, "August." He sound like a beautiful soul. You did a wonderful job in your poem for Him. Sorry, I don't have 6 stars for your poem. Great rhyming and flow. Well done.

Your kind words are quite enough! Worry not about the stars! I loved reading his work. Wish I'd known him before he passed... I hope his daughter, Amber sees that even now he is moving hearts!
Thank you, Karenina

You are welcome.

Bless you Karenina. He was my friend, and I understood every bit of his writing. In some ways a disability has its many forms, and sadly, his was the undoing. This really did have an affect on me. When Amber contacted me, It was as if a hammer and snow had fallen at the same time.
Thank you so much, with your good heart, once again, you light the way.
I wanted to honour him last Sunday, but life got in the way. I will this.
I have been away with some trials , so I know I have missed much, as each time I mean to come back, something gets in the way.
Good to see your name here. Hang in there.
Have a nice week.
Best wishes.

I am so pleased you two were friends! That makes me smile... Reading all of his work today was impactful, heartwrenching, moving to my very soul.
I am sorry for your loss...for your current trials. I am joyful knowing you will be honoring August...
Nobody does it better. Be well. My thoughts are with you. Many Thanks, Karenina

This is a lovely tribute Karenina and I'm sure the family is grateful to you as well as all of the other FS members who knew and loved August. Although he's gone, his words will live.

Indeed! We all write hoping our words will be our legacy. Today, reading all of August's work, affirmed that! Thank you, Karenina

Karenina,
Glad to see your well again.
This is a nicely done poem of remembrance for yet another poet we have lost this year and in the past. It was good of you to read all his poems before you wrote this.
Keep writing and stay healthy

Thank you Joan. Not "well" but on my way, God willing! I needed a bit of help typing...but really wanted to honor August's work once I heard of his passing and delved into his work!

I think I see a post almost every day from you and am sure amber is very appreciative. "I've read August pieces of you, your love your joy your pain and rage" particularly captured my mind and soul. Perhaps writing and not eyes are the windows to the soul

Ahhh. I post rarely, actually. I believe it's been about a month since my last post! When I heard of August's passing and read his work I wanted very much to contribute to his memorial book. His work is stunning. I do hope you'll treat yourself to it! Thanks so much--Karenina

Ah perhaps they just end up in my reading que then. Well done regardless

NO problem! I'm just honored you chose to read this at all!

I never knew or read any of your friend's poems, but those few lines you have shared have made me wish I had. It's always sad to lose a special person, and I'm sorry for his family. Thanks for sharing.

I did not know him in life. I happened upon his work when I learned he had passed. Still, as writers I think we all become friends on this plane of existence or the next. I felt moved to acknowledge his death and hope this offers some solace to his daughter, Amber. Thank you Ric.

Kind thoughts and gestures from you as always. I'm sure Amber will appreciate them.

Thank you, Karenina, for sharing this beautiful tribute and for sharing one of his poems. Seems a lot of great writers on this site have passed away within the last few months. I will check out his writings.

Thank you for saying you will sample his writing! It is what I did, after learning of his death. Proof positive that the impact of our words lives on even after God has called us home! I am certain his daughter would love to hear what other's feel about his writing--even if, like me, they did not come to know him in life! Thanks again, Karenina

August's passing was a motivating push to try!

I felt moved by his work, his honesty and his faith. It's sad we all don't get to know everyone on site--still, I got lost in his work and read all he posted once I heard of his passing. Thanks for giving August's memory six stars... May he rest in peace and may his family and friends be comforted by this book of memories FS members are contributing to!--Karenina

It seemed to sum up his faith and his love of writing... something we share in common, even if I didn't get to know him here on site. I hope a lot of people go to read his work. Our words live on, always...
Thank you. I hope I did his memory justice.--Karenina

You did! I'm so glad you shared - it is this commonality that helps us connect. 💖

Thanks Helen. It gives us hope, no? Our time will come and yet what we have penned will not become within the reach of the "reaper."--Karenina

This is the second poem in tribute to Crzypntr. It's heartfelt and we'll written. I didn't have the honor to read his poems.
Well done, Karenina. It's good to hear from you. :)

Thanks Gypsy. I regret I did not get to know him or read him before learning of his passing, much too young at 57! His work was inspiring and moving and I hope I did his memory justice.
