It sounds like your childhood Christmases were quite wonderful, family oriented events. I grew up in a small town and we only had a couple of general stores, but they carried a lot of things. My parents would drive the forty miles into a bigger city (town really) and do Christmas shopping, too. I always enjoyed getting ready for the holiday as much as the holiday itself. Nice retelling of your experiences. Good luck in the contest.

So fun to read your memories! I, too, have fond memories of Christmas shopping with my family. I played Old Maid with my grandpa more times than I could count--he always won! My sister got an Easy Bake Oven one Christmas. It was fun to share her creations. And I haven't thought about snow angels for a very long time! What fun. We are lucky to have such happy memories.
