This is a very beautiful poem. It is very lyrical with brilliant rhyme and meter. The imagery is also lovely. I didn't know anything really of the poem to whom this poem is a tribute, having only been here for so short a time, but I read and enjoyed one or two of his poems. He sounds like an amazing person. You poem is a splendid celebration of his life.

You have used a perfect example of the English sonnet form to write this tribute to a recently deceased Fanstorian poet. Although I was not familiar with his work it is clear that he will be sadly missed by those that were.

Gloria, yours is the third tribute I've read for August. I blush to say I'd never heard of his poetry until now. The few that I read these last few days were truly inspired. Your poem was written from the perspective of a kindred soul and was crafted to glow from an inner light that then belies the hours upon hours spent honing your craft.

Sorry I'm out of sixes although Im sure you'll get some from other reviewers.
This is a striking sonnet. What I love about your writing is that your meter is always spot on. Its such an easy read, I can enjoy the other aspects of the poem without being tripped up by incorrect syllable accents.
One line in particular that is brilliant is...
"Earth has claimed her final kiss" Now that's poetry!
Totally enjoyable and a heartfelt tribute to your friend.

What a beautiful tribute in Sonnet to Crzypntr! The meter, the rhyming and syllable counts are correct. I have a question for the last two lines' rhyming: does "knew" rhyme with "true".
