Hi gypsy, I just got a photo from my friend with a cloud like this one in the photo above - it is very beautiful. As is your 6-word entry to the competition. Good luck with this, I think you could have great success, Giddy

What a wonderful story you have told in so few words, some actions are unforgivable and wreck many a dream, very well written and best wishes for your contest****kahpot

Gypsy Blue your 6 Words Poem for Contest
Unforgivable Flames is great, I like it cause you have no need to count syllables you six words are not forgotten of what fire can do.

Forest fires are definitely unforgiving. They burn, and burn indiscriminately, and it takes decades upon decades for the areas to return to a semblance of their original self.

Excellent work here, and a pleasure to read and review. :))

You captured that feeling of all those who lost homes in the wildfires each year in California and in Canada. It's so sad. I like that you call it "unforgivable flames."

Yes, my oldest daughter lives in Grass Valley, a small town in the country. Fires come close to her house all the time .. it's terrifying.

A fanstory member told me today, "I don't understand why you have so many fires in California with all the people you have ..." Or something to that effect. I remember trump saying we should rake the forest to stop fires... LoL

Thank you very much for taking the time to read and review my poem.

    Big hugs

Gypsy,

With all the wild fires now blazing especially in California, your short poem is a most appropriate comment on the unforgivable acts of some persons and organizations not to protect our natural environment.

M,

So sad! Can you even imagine what these folks are going through? I forget where you are living now - I sure hope you are not near there. This is a powerful one-line poem, saying sooo much in so little. Thanks!

An excellent presentation. One would think that after all these years of forest fires there would have been a team put together that would solve the problem. If they can use so many men to try to put the fire out, why not station men around the forests, before the fire begins, to retard the damage?

California, like much of the West, gets most of its moisture in the fall and winter. Its vegetation then spends much of the summer slowly drying out because of a lack of rainfall and warmer temperatures. That vegetation then serves as kindling for fires.

Thank you very much for your review and feedback.

If you are referring to the wildfires I understand. The flames in any case are truly unforgivable. I applaud your choice of a first word. Just a thought: could not dreams and hopes be considered synonymous? I thought you may want to include something else to make this poem more versatile.
I like your gradiation of color in your font.

I'm looking forward to your cinquain if you are entering. Also, how about a haiku event where the satori comes first. Those, to me seem to be almost more stunning and leaves room for different types of creativity.
Be well,
Katiemae

There have been so many major fires during the last few years with hundreds of people (maybe thousands) losing everything. It has to be difficult recovering from such devastation. You entry holds all the agony of a raging fire and is an excellent entry in the contest.
