Hello Paul Mcfarland,
Nice piece of Humor Poetry having lucid as well as perfectly matching the theme phraseology, smooth flow throughout from the beginning to the end with lovely rhyming scheme, and beautifully depicting its theme.
Three stanzas are particularly noteworthy: "They all agreed...my last drink."

This is quite the poem. You have a unique tale here. I wasn't expecting Patrick to rise up the way he did. Your poem reads like a mini movie, you have a clear bar scene and a smooth poetic flow of words. Your poem reminds me a little of Robert Service's poems.

I am reminded a bit of "The Cremation of Sam McGee," a campfire tale my dad had memorized. Your ingenuity and creativity have no bounds! If I had another star to give, I surely would. This is an interesting poem with rhyme and rhythm. It is quite humorous and sounds like a ballad so it should be a song. As a matter of fact, it reminds me somewhat of Finnegan's Wake. Good job. Good luck in the contest.
