What a beautiful tribute to your wife. Poetry does seem to help the loss of a loved one. Many times we write down on paper what we are thinking at the time.

This is absolutely beautiful and brought a tear to my eye, I wish I had a 6 star review left but I'm out.

The rhyme scheme was fantastic, as was the narrative passing of time and the way you did it. Thank you for sharing this sentiment and poetry and I am sorry for your loss

Thanks for sharing this touching and warm tribute. Just a couple minor typos: "lngers" (should be "lingers" I think) and "it's call" in the last paragraph.

Time and tide waits for none as the saying goes. There are things that I am nostalgic about from the 'good old days.' We all go through the pain and pleasures in equal measure. I believe in carrying only the good thoghts and have a large smile on my face when it is time to go! Thank you for sharing~

This is a fitting tribute to your wife and the life you shared. It has rhyme and rhythm which I so enjoy even in this poignant poem. You're so right about writing poetry. It has gotten me through many a hard time. Great poem.

I'm so very sorry you lost your wife so early in your marriage. I'm glad you made so many happy memories during those short years to keep you going. It sounds like the two of you shared so much love. Something so precious that was taken away far too early, is so sad. You will meet her again, I'm sure she will be at that gate ready to welcome you. This is such a lovely tribute to her. Sending you a huge hug, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

Heartwarming and poignant--a beautiful tribute to your wife--so glad you had happy years and heathy children and all these wonderful memories. Still, sucks that she's dead.

Jaybird your writing inspires me. Obviously, it's from the heart. And I have no doubt she misses you every bit as much as you miss her. I just hope you keep presenting your poetry on Fanstory for many years to come.
