This poem really pulled at my heart-strings. I feel sorry for all pets and especially for humans, particularly children who are abused and/or neglected.
But I know this poem is especially about the animals. It's not fair to mistreat them. You've said a lot in this 1-6-1 poem, and the photo is extremely effective.

Sorry for the late reply.

There are so many abused dogs and cats .. each story has its drama.

I don?t understand why so much cruelty.. some just have a pet to vent their anger on the poor soul.

I do believe in karma : good like bad done always returns to us.

I like the use of the same sound with two different words and meanings. I'm not sure if the poem stands on its own without the picture but with the picture it's really great

I understand your point but seeing in this contest pics are allowed , I think the poem should be judged taking both in consideration.

Oh, poor baby! My heart breaks for this precious little dog. Good job with your contest entry though it is so sad. Whomever abandoned that little dog should be . . . God knows.
