Great chapter. I figure you will be blowing this case open before long. Mary does seem to be in the mood to forgive Jon. I wonder what will happen to him. I can't help but feel sorry for him, but he brought most of on himself.

I apologize for not being able to get back to you quickly but there is way too much happening in my life... with the girls back and school, Matthew's movie, birthdays everywhere and of course trying to finish this story. I know you've read several chapters since this one and I hope a few things are clearer.

    thank you as always, Carol

You don't need to worry about answering my questions. I know they will be answered. I'm just filling up space. I don't know how you do all you do.

Neither do I at times....tonight I am trying to answer 78 reviews before I have more in the morning. I hate to get behind...and I always want to thank people for taking their time to read what I write.

Miguel is in the drug business up to his neck and will lead them to the ringleader. Jon will help to find Annie. I think Mason Caldwell is behind both the gold and the drugs and Cynthia is his side kick who got in deeper than she expected - and is being used. Not that she wants to do the right thing - she is greedy and unscrupulous too.
That's my guess. Can't wait for the next.
Wendy

The net is closing in of Mason and these crooks, thank goodness, but they have to find out where they've taken the little girl. She'll be scared to death in that dark, dank cellar. The team have it all covered, with several cars trailing Miguel so he won't suspect. Good thinking there. Now we wait. In the meantime, we still have to get Liz and Faith together, and for Liz to say sorry to her mother, Mary. And what about poor Cassidy, we've all but forgotten that poor lady! Well my friend, you've done a brilliant job with this one, again, very well done!! Love and hugs, my friend :)) Sandra xxx

Yes, Cassidy still has to tell what she knows and Jon has to live long enough to know his sister is alive. Of course, we need an emotional reunion of mother and daughters. And somewhere I'd like a bit more romance with Garth and Allie. But I'm running out of time. LOL

Oh, this is getting so intriguing, Carol! The walls are going to be tumbling down soon on the drug cartel I think. That just might lead to Mason and Annie. Well done.

They played that well. Miguel was really sweating and annoyed. Thank God dogs can't talk. I think, for authenticity purposes, you may want to have the agents past Jon down before placing him in the back seat.

Good work.

thanks for the suggestion about Jon...After you mentioned it, I went Duh! That went right past me! This is the second time I wrote you a review on this chapter, because three little girls are driving this grandma crazy and I forgot to save it. Smiles, Carol

It looks like the trap is closing, the feds are going to make a big killing, although Daryl wants to kill, or at least damage Miguel a little, or even a lot, because of the elicit drugs, Jack died, crime and the oust for money and power turn a man's head, beautifully written dear Carol, blessings Roy

The research on how much drugs would fit in the bottom of the barrel was something else...and I was floored by the value. No wonder Mason the evil doer wanted the farm so badly. Eighteen million a shot...I can't even fathom it. LOL thanks so much....Carol

I love it. I think Hank and Garth could've gotten a lot of information from Jon. I think he's ready to tell all, if not he might be ready to comment suicide, then they won't get any info.

I want you to go now. If you refuse to help find Annie, then you are dead to me. (I read this as one sentence, if you want more drama you can do this... I want you to go now...," she exhaled, "if you refuse to help find Annie, I hope you rot in hell. I'd go straight there. Just a thought.)

"Darryl, it's going to be just like every Tuesday. Unload the empty barrels and load the new shipment. Tango, you let our guest to the rest."
"If Miguel is responsible, you won't have to arrest him because I'm going to beat him to death. How could he involve the winery in some illegal drug deal?" (No clue who's talking and it's two dialogues so you need a space between. Don't forget to identify who's speaking. So many people in this scene it gets confusing.)
