A very touching and beautiful tribute to that one true friend who will always be there and stand by you. Such a friendship is rare and should be treasured.
I think that this would be a wonderful gift to give to that one true friend if words cannot be expressed on how they are appreciated.

Beautiful poem. You are right. Friendwhip like that is hard to find and if you have it, you are one of the lucky ones. I have such one such friend. I've had other but they have gone on to a better place. I'm thankful to still have one. I like the rhyme pattern you used with this. It flows beautifully.

How sweet! This was a precious poem devoted to the idea of friendship and how it can definitely make life more special AND endurable. I have learned that the hard way, myself.
Though I enjoyed your poem very much, I was quite intrigued by your notes. I read your description and went immediately to your notes - which offered... not much ... *smile* I wonder if you meant to provide the name of this poetry form? I couldn't remember the name, myself. (No surprise there.) I enjoyed this post quite a lot, otherwise. Thanks a bunch! You always please!

Thank you. Yes, I was remiss in posting in my author notes. It's called A Quickstep Duo and the instructions are:
Two five-line stanzas with syllable count of 10, 10, 8, 8, 10,
and rhyme scheme of a,a,b,b,a.
