I like your poem, well written, good rhyming. I am sure a lot of people have found themselves in this situation over the last year and a half. I don't cut my hair so it has not been a problem for me. My husband cut his own hair for many years.

Thank you for your review. No, I did not let my husband cut my hair, I have worn it long for a lot of years.
-
Sorry I meant to say you're welcome rather than thank you.

This is a clever and humorous poem. I read it with my morning coffee and it gave me a good laugh to jump-start my day. You have wonderful rhyme and a flowing rhythm which makes your poem a joy to read.

I know the feeling. I've cut my partner's hair a few times and he seems okay with it--I think it looks horrible, but he's satisfied. I won't let him cut mine though!

It may be wise to at least trim it a little bit so you don't trip over it heh heh. I must admit we've got a friend who has a home salon, an excellent arrangement, but this is a brilliant poem, and I wouldn't expect anything else Chris, well done, blessings

I love it Chrissy! Such a funny rendition of you and your son's plight as you grow shaggier and more ungroomed. I bet the dog looks a sight as well.
I think 'naught' should be spelled 'nought' when it is a figure, i.e. zero sum of money. The other naught is when there is naught you can do about it.
I feel for you Aussies in your ongoing lockdown. We've had a taste of it here too, but tonight the south island is going up to level 2 which will bring some freedom. I feel like an exile, can't come back to Canberra - I got news that a friend of mine died, no funerals, can't travel anyway.

Hi lisa.. Thank you, Thank you, for your great review and six star this has really made my day and put a smile on my face. It has been a long lockdown and just never seems to let up we feel like prisoners in our own state and even with a strict 5 Kl travel limit our numbers of covid keeps going higher and our freedom now all depends on the vaccination rates getting to 70% or 80% (fully vaccinated) we are currently around 39% so it will be a long time before we meet this target set down by our premier here in Victoria
We are all feeling quite down and it is hard to stay positive. we are all bored and tired of the constant Covid news and bitching between our state premiers with some saying they will not open border for a long time. Our Government has rally stuffed up this vaccination race and our choices have been limited being over 60 my husband and I had our first AZ about 7 weeks ago our second in Oct (Luckily we had no bad reactions I had none at all not even a sore arm Greg had a sore arm for a few days but at least we have made a start although quite hesitant to begin with.)
So Lisa your review has cheered me up no end as I haven't felt like writing much either but when my son was complaining about his long hair I couldn't resist doing a poem lol
Have fixed the nought so ta for that
Stay safe and I am sorry to hear about your friend's death It is terrible not being able to come back to Canberra yet but one day come home we may even catch up
Cheers Chrisxx

I'm so pleased i could buck up your spirits. It makes it much more difficult in Australia with each state behaving like a separate country, plus your PM hasn't handled it well, whereas our Jacinda has good support from the public. I've had my first jab, getting my 2nd on Friday. I was initially hesitant but had no after affects at all.
My grandfather was born in Ballarat (in 1879), and I have a half-sister who lives near Daylesford.
-
Wow Lisa it is a small world my home town is Daylesford and my Mum still lives there so I go over every week to see her
-
It's a lovely area.
Is Clunes nearby? There's some family connection there too... maybe Granddad came from there though he was born in Ballarat.
-
Yes Clunes is nearby about 1/2 hour drive from Ballarat and about the same from Daylesford So you will definetly have to come over for a visit
PS We love Jacinda and wish we had her here
