I love this poem. It feels like falling into someone else's head. It feels like I am listening to a conversation as lyrics in someone's head. Awesome.

ð??? Love this piece, I relate to it very well, as I am a nurse in a nursing home.
You've done a fantastic job putting this together. I could visualize the confusion of the Old Man, and the sadness of him having to be in a LTC.
Good luck with your contest.

But before my grandmother Hazel died in 1993 she was 93 years old born in 1900.
Her her body was going but her mental facilities were perfect!
Problem was my mother didn't do a nice job taking care of her.
Mom went and sold the house stole all the $40,000 blue k that was saved up for me and my three brothers and then dumped Hazel in a nursing home.
I tried to help Hazel she wouldn't let me feed her and she started cursing she wanted to die.
My sister Carol was also helping and ask what we should do they wanted to put a stomach tube in her and force feeder and I said no.
She died peacefully in her sleep a couple months later.
You see my grandfather had a heart attack in 1962 so she been alone a long time.
She was Pennsylvania Dutch and those women don't drive and they depend on their men.
I'm glad that this piece of poetry clicked with you.
Of course I put a disclaimer about Alzheimer's and Dementia how serious it is.
