Okay. I can breathe again. Annie is not home but she's alive... It's good news. She's in a dark dank room with a broken whine barrel? Likely not with Mason...although the creep likely orchestrated her kidnapping! Mary was incredibly restrained with Father Jon...I'd have wanted to bonk him on the head, personally. Good job getting Cynthia out of there. You know the old saying about gossips? "Telephone, Telegraph, tell Cynthia!".

You've got me hook, line and sinker!

Garth wanted Cynthia out of earshot before Mary unloaded on Jon. Now that the icy is cracking in her veins, look out! Smiles!

Very interesting events are happening and Jon proves to be a coward, but not as cowardly as Cynthia. Sadly they have no good news for Faith. Well written and attention grabbing.

Sorry for the cut and paste but I am now currently 158 responses behind. I want to make the changes, thank everyone and start fresh. Wishing you a great day.

Please forgive me for being so far behind on answering reviews, fixing suggestions, and thanking everyone for their kindness. Good thing a birthday only comes once a year. I posted to my family that I was cooking and for the first time in years, my house was over flowing for two days after two days of cooking. Now in three days, Matthew starts filming again and I must cook for them. This woman is tired. Thank you for all your support and kindness.

Another great one. Cynthia was lucky to be let go ... I am glad they are standing up to her at last. I take it they were at Mary and Faith's home ...? I got a bit confused just at the end until I realized we were now seeing where Annie is being held. But hopefully the pieces are all falling into place for those with clever minds .... and they will bring everything to a satisfying conclusion. I hope!
Well written.

Garth let Cynthia go because one, she won't go far except maybe to Mason and two, he wanted Mary to confront Jon without Cynthia's ears around. I worried about adding Annie at the end, but I felt since she has been kidnapped I needed to keep a pulse on the situration as well.

Dynamite! Everything blows up at everyone these last two chapters. Gripping! Brilliant confrontations!

Throughout the book, you've variously spelt SebasTIAN/TION

Her pleas bounce=>BOUNCED against the walls and fell unheard to the ground.

Another good chapter filled with lots of information and tension. Suggestion: You might want to mark a change of scene before the "dusty gray cobwebs...." I do wish the agents had detained Cynthia along with Jon! LOL! Blessings. Carol

They needed to let Cynthia go so Mary can confront Jon without Miss Gossip gathering all the information and carrying it back to Mason. She has enough when she realized Faith looks like Liz. And thanks for noting the scene change ...I thought I marked it, but I will do it now.

They'll catch up with her later, I'm guessing.

I like reading your very well written way of writing; so us readers can picture in their minds of how you describe of what is taking place. And your talent of keeping me want to read more
here is a part that I liked--

Cynthia tugged at Jon's arm as the Jeep skidded to a stop, tossing dirt, rock, and dust in every direction. The side doors of the Jeep opened simultaneously, and both men ran toward the porch. Garth reached the group first, with Hank steps behind him.

This is another amazing chapter. A lot of secrets are coming. I'm wondering what the kidnappers were planning to do with the child. I don't really see how that would have made Liz more inclinded to sell the vineyard particularly if she is found. If she disappeared forever it might make her believe the place was cursed. It seems such trauma could hasten the death of Faith but I know you aren't going to let that happen. I'm enjoying it.

You made me laugh, Beth! How wonderful that you know me so well and can say that I would not hasten Faith's death. I wouldn't! As for Liz, I think people believe she is too fragile and would return to the city if given the chance. She believes the land is cursed and they hope she will throw in the towel and say it's yours.
