Zing! Liz truly was secretly unhappy, and told Jack! She must have been feeling responsible since the crash...hence, redirecting others with her wondering if Jack had been smitten with another woman? Amazing no one has thought to look at the coroner's report! Hmmm. How/why did Miguel appear so suddenly!? Another "secret" to unravel... Amy's name has been dropped. A red herring? I put nothing past you! Where's Annie!? (You're killing me here)--
Also, awaiting the "family reunion" -- wow.
I'm ready and buckled in! Crisp concise dialogue!

if I every finish these responses, I will write the confrontation between Mary and Jon and then hopefully move to the girls meeting each other. Make sure you tell me if I am off on any parts of the emotions or the story...Smiles, Carol

Oh, does Liz know that her name is Hope? I wonder why she had such a terrible reaction to Mary? Good background information here given through dialogue so it goes fast.

Sorry for the cut and paste but I am now currently 158 responses behind. I want to make the changes, thank everyone and start fresh. Wishing you a great day.

Please forgive me for being so far behind on answering reviews, fixing suggestions, and thanking everyone for their kindness. Good thing a birthday only comes once a year. I posted to my family that I was cooking and for the first time in years, my house was over flowing for two days after two days of cooking. Now in three days, Matthew starts filming again and I must cook for them. This woman is tired. Thank you for all your support and kindness.

I'm so glad that Liz has Allie to confide in. She really needs a friend right now. Apparently her fear that she "killed" Jack is one of the "secrets in the wind." (Great title, by the way.)

Errors and suggestions:

Liz squeezed her eyes closed, inhaled before looking at Allie again.

In your summary:
Mary, a caregiver, discovers her child she gave up for adoption thirty years ago. Cynthia and Michael are searching for gold on Liz's property. The mysterious woman (Faith) is dying from cancer and lives in a secret cottage with her daughter, Annie, Sebastion, and Mary.

[correcting the spelling of "Sebastian" and ordering the sentences so that the material about Mary appears together]

You really piqued my curiosity, when Liz mentioned Amy calling her about the party she missed, before Jack was killed. What was that about? And now we need to know about the coroner's report about Jack... and what Liz will say about Hope, who we know is really Liz. Plenty of secrets you have lined up for us, Carol! You're getting very good at this!

You're in my prayers, Carol -- you and your family. There's no need to reply to this message; I know you're very busy right now. God bless you, my friend.

I didn't see this coming at all! So she felt guilty about Jack's death for this reason, and not because she was worried about him having an affair with an "unknown woman" on the property. I hope that she won't consider selling now, so she can go back to the city. Liz seems to have worked out a connection with Hope also, from the other conversation. Looking forward to the next gripping instalment.

Intense interaction is spot-on. Stunning backstory--I thought you'd said before that Liz felt guilty because she'd accused Jack of having an affair. I thought when LIZ read the documents after his death about his life being in danger that she assumed his plane had been sabotaged. Why does she now wonder if his fatal crash is on account of being distraught over her wanting to go back to NY? Notwithstanding my confusion, this is gripping!

That a was a good and thorough conversation. Liz and Allie are really there for each other. Dealing with the past is never easy and learning new things about your lost loved ones is particularly hard. So many questions, doubts about you know or thought you knew.

Good emotional work.

That's okay. You don't have to respond. It is really only expected if someone asks a question.

    Enjoy the day off.

Oh dear, it's easy to see why she would blame herself, I would have done, too. Although Liz isn't to blame. Now, is Ellie going to te!l her everything about Hope? I do hope so. This was another wonderful part my friend. I'm off to bed now but had to read just part first!! Lots of love and hugs, Sandra xxx

I hadn't looked lately. When I voted, I most certainly expected to see you in that number one spot. told myself coming in second to you wouldn't bother me a bit...matter of fact, I would consider myself lucky to be ranked that close to your writing. Smiles and hugs!

Is there any possiblility that Jack didn't really die? I was wondering if a body was recovered, I imagine Liz would feel guilty if that was the last conversation they ever had. I'm loving all your chapters.

Yes, I believe it was mentioned his body was discovered but the wreckage couldn't be removed for several weeks. Thanks so much, Beth

It seems Liz blames herself for Jack's death, but somehow I think it's more sinister than that, Jack doesn't seem the type, profile-wise to kill himself, but one never knows. Who is Hope, the sister she hasn't seen? Silly question probably Carol. Allie is a good friend. The report on the crash could prove interesting. Beautifully written, blessings Roy
