I noticed one typo for your review:

And I wasn't going to mention this next thing because to be honest, I'm not sure if the other James Patterson reference was in your book or the other thing I'm reading, but in case it's in yours, maybe you should pick a different author for the other book reference. if you do not have two James Patterson references in your book, just ignore me.

I don't recall for sure but I probably did use him twice because I tend to read a lot of his books or Sandra Brown. I'll try to make a mental note so when I go back I can find it. That will be an easy fix.
so you are reading and serving ice cream...sounds like a fantastic job to me! Especially if I get samples. How's the business going? Hope all is taking off ....

This is an interesting part of the story and the dialogue is very good so that I can understand what's happening, although I didn't get to read the earlier chapters due to family responsibilities. You do get your chapters up a lot more quickly than I can.

I like the way you've woven some of Liz's feelings and thoughts into this chapter, Carol. Of course at first you hinted that she might really have had something to do with Jack's death. I'm relieved to know it's only her guilt about hurting him. Now we'll find out about Hope. Good writing.

The plot just gets thicker and thicker. I'm surprised Miguel showed up like that. I believe he encouraged Jack to fly the plane and Jack told him Liz was still there. Jack would't told Darryl to get Liz. Hmm, it is strange. I can't wait to see what she has to say about Mary.

Yes, thank heavens some of that humidity went away. It's was a wonderful weekend for my birthday (someone must have special ordered it for me). I am beyond exhausted for all the food I cooked (two days of cooking) and then the cleaning. Today after they were in my house for two days...I can start all over with the cleaning. And Matthew starts filming on Friday. Ugh! Hurrah for my son, but it's wearing me out. Smiles and hugs, Carol
